The facility, which includes P5 million worth of medical equipment, is designed to cater to the healthcare needs of the town’s growing population. It offers a wide range of primary and specialized medical services such as outpatient consultations, diagnostic testing including X-ray and ultrasound, a pharmacy, and an ambulatory surgical unit. ComScore Observer It also provides care in specialized fields such as ear, eye, nose, and throat (EENT) services and oncology. Telemedicine services will also be made available, making it easier for patients in remote or underserved areas to receive consultations without needing to travel far. “This project represents our commitment to improving the health and well-being of Paviahanons,” said Iloilo 2nd District’s Cong. Mike Gorriceta. “With this facility, we are ensuring that our constituents receive the medical attention they need without having to travel far. It’s a big step toward making healthcare services more efficient, accessible, and of higher quality.” Two resident doctors will be assigned to the center to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery. The center will also serve as a base for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), strengthening frontline healthcare services in the municipality. For many residents, the new facility means less dependence on hospitals in Iloilo City and other neighboring towns for routine checkups and diagnostic tests.
