Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, PRO-6 director, confirmed there was no single violent incident reported. “Wala po tayong na-record na insidente na related sa filing ng certificates of candidacy,” Wanky said, emphasizing the successful coordination among various stakeholders. The peaceful conduct of the COC filing for the 2025 midterm elections was attributed to the close collaboration between the Commission on Elections (Comelec), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and other concerned agencies. “We are grateful to our unit commanders, the provincial and city directors, the chiefs of police, and all our personnel for their commitment and dedication during this eight-day deployment,” he added. Wanky also noted the adherence of all aspirants and their supporters to the Comelec’s rules and regulations as one factor in the success of the COC filing. To recall, PRO-6 deployed approximately 3,200 police personnel across the region to ensure a smooth COC filing process.
