Thedd Aldritz Geca Maglocot from Guimbal, Iloilo bagged the coveted award for his performance of Tom Jones’ “Delilah” during the grand finale held in Long Beach California, USA on August 4. The 9-year-old also won the Grand Champion Vocalist in the World in the junior division. Maglocot is reportedly the second Ilonggo to ever win the title of Grand Champion Performer of the World after Jed Madela won the award in the Senior Division in 2005. The Philippines had 106 representatives in this year’s World Championship of Performing Arts competition.
