BY EUNICE MEDALLA ILOILO City – The city government through its City Traffic and Transportation Management Office (CTTMO) has started its intensified implementation of the clamping ordinance to crackdown illegal parking of vehicles. The ordinance, or the Regulation Ordinance (RO) 2014-191, amended by RO 2015-049, incorporates the use of wheel clamp as a method being employed to immobilize motor vehicles in non-parking zones. Uldarico Garbanzos, head of Uldarico Garbanzos, said the city currently has 40 medium wheel clamps, 20 large wheel clamps, and 50 motor wheel clamps. He added that the CTTMO personnel underwent training and practical demonstration on how to use the wheel clamp. The CTTMO operates against on-road parking from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays to Sundays in the following areas: City Proper * Bonifacio Drive, Gen. Luna Street, Fermin Caram Avenue, J.M.
