            <text>Aquino Alejo, born in Lapog, Ilocos Sur, on July 17, 1892, led a notable career marked by achievements in both engineering and politics. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, he began his professional journey as an assistant engineer in the Bureau of Public Works from 1913 to 1914. His expertise soon took him to San Francisco, California, where he served as the engineer in charge of the Philippine Public Works Exhibits at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915.&#13;

From 1916 to 1918, Alejo served as the district engineer of Capiz, showcasing his leadership and engineering skills. His career continued to flourish as he moved to Rizal in 1919, assuming the role of district engineer. Moreover, Alejo's commitment to public service was evident throughout his career, transitioning back to engineering as the district engineer of Iloilo and later as the highway engineer in the Bureau of Public Works in Manila. Furthermore, his dedication and competence in engineering led to further advancements, including his appointment as provincial governor of Iloilo from 1930 to 1931, marking his entry into politics.&#13;
