It is with great pleasure that we present this publication of Western Visayas in guidebook form. This is part of the Department of Tourism Region VI promotional service intended to be used for information, reference and other purposes.
Many of our tourism offices abroad, embassies and consulates are hard put with materials to present to prospective visitors to the country. This publication will enable them to have a ready reference of Western Visayas in the Philippines. Tour operators, travel agencies and other institutions catering to the business of travel and tourism have often found difficulty in assisting clients due to lack of information. They, too, will find package tours they can promote. Even schools and students who are into research and term papers will find this book a rich source of information.
